We are seeking a Parish Administrator to join our team in this vital work.
General
- Reports to the Rector
- 16 hours per week, with in-office presence 4-5 days
- Paid leave includes federal holidays, Good Friday, Easter Monday, and two weeks of vacation
- Hourly pay of $22
- Background check and Safe Church training are required
- Ideal start date by mid-July
Responsibilities
The Parish Administrator is a vital part of the ministry team who works closely with the Rector and lay leaders in support of the parish mission. The role provides administrative, communications, and operational support.
- Produces all service leaflets, including Sundays and special liturgies
- Produces weekly eblasts, monthly newsletter, and additional communications as needed
- Supports marketing and communications initiatives and growth activities
- Manages all parish correspondence and reporting
- Maintains database and parish directory
- Maintains giving records and produces regular acknowledgements
- Welcomes and responds to all inquiries in person, via telephone, and email
- Maintains all Church correspondence and records in a filing system accessible to all leaders as needed
- Designs and produces event flyers, brochures, invitations, etc.
- Maintains a list of leadership contacts and appropriately routes questions, inquiries, and billing needs
- Maintains parish calendar
- Provides administrative support to the Rector
- Maintains confidentiality and discretion
- Assists lay leaders as needed
- Orders and maintains office supplies
- Ensures maintenance of office equipment and troubleshoots as necessary
- Liaises with vendors and technicians as necessary
- Coordinates invoice reconciliation and bill payments
- Supports building needs and space use
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of the Episcopal Church and our resources
- Strong English, proofreading, and editing skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Church Windows or similar database experience
- Organizational and communications skills
- A collaborative spirit and a people person
